break in period for endyn pistons??? how many miles needed and what type of driving must be done???
what is the mileage break in period on the endyn pistons and a clutchmaster clutch...also what type of driving is required to break in the pistons and clutch...i have heard you cant drive on the highway that much as the pistons should not be broken in at a constant speed...any help would be appreciated as i must break in my new pistons and clutch on thursday and friday and hopefully make the dyno on saturday morning...
dont worry about the break in period...worry when its gonna break on you......endyn sucks
i broke my clutch in 500 miles

what does your clutch have to do with endyn pistons?
to answer the original question 1000 miles of easy driving. TRY to keep it under 4000rpm and dont do any WOT runs.......and dont keep the RPM at a constant spot for long periods of time. try to vary the engine rpm speed.

On Point, that was a completely ignorant reply...but I must say it was quite hilarious
How does ENDYN relate to your clutch breaking down? LOL. You see, ENDYN = Modified Wiseco Pistons... Pistons does not = clutch breaking down
Drive 1000 miles, mostly stop and go traffic and less of the cruising. No highway miles because your RPM's would be too constant all the time. Also try to rev match downshift below 4000RPM whenever you come to a stop...this lets your engine RPM's rev up and down more and making your break-in more effective.

Endyn makes very good products and offers excellent tech support. Why do you think they make bad products?
keep it under vtec engaging point
change the oil at 500 miles and use 5w 30
regular not synthetic
then change the oil again at 1,500 miles
after that very the rpms let it hit vtec but not redline
under 6500
after 2000 miles go up to 7200
then at 3000 let it redline
use synthetic after 5,000 total miles
this the proper way
but everybody has there own way

Do a search under the Endyn site and Larry details his recommendations for breakin. Some of the replies touch on them.

i broke my clutch in 500 miles
yeah thats what i ment...sorry for the confusion....and i wouldnt trust lary the owner of endyn with my dogs ****. That guy is a crook and i have herd some horror stories about him. His produts dont last that long if your lucky eough to actualy get the product from that crook.
Why cant you use synthetic oil when braking an engine in. I plan on rebuilding my engine with eagle rods and je pistons within the next 6 months, it going to be so hard to wait 3000 miles to feel new power of the rebuild!!!!!
Some of this is BS
Go 200 miles under 3500. Than for every 200 more miles, you can raise 500-600 more RPMS. So about 1500 is a normal break in period.
About the Syn. Oil. Only use non-syn. Because the non-syn conditions the piston rings so they seat right.
