Not at all... its a little bit smaller diameter than stock, actually.

Both sound good to me! I like torque!

I took my mudflaps off for this reason. I'd never be able to clean that part of the paint, or even wax it

mudflaps are good, they keep the kar clean..
Mine have worn out, seriously, on track they "flap out" like dog ears or like air brakes on Kitt from Night Rider. he,he
P.S. the SI BUS owed that Grand AM Spec LS at Summit Point that weekend

I did go without the mudguards for the first month, and I was miserable without them. My car had a constant sray of brake dust going up the side and all over the door, I could only keep it clean for a day or two... now its more like a week or two.
I might have the paint issue licked as well. I have some double-thick automotive vynil that looks like the exact silver of my EP. I have been using it for the background of my club stickers on magnetic sheets. I'll put some of this vynil down on the contact points and it should protect the paint from the rubbing. I'll post pics when its done.

Yeah, the brake dust will absolutely own you, and the Azenis fling crud up like a bulldozer...(well not exactly, but lots of stuff)
I have no problem with the way the mudguards look, they kinda fill it out some, so I wouldnt worry about how the paint under them looks any more than the paint under the carpet inside the trunk, but rust is rust, and in 10 yrs it could be real issue.
The vinyl is just like the stuff the EP3Decals guy uses (http://ep3decals.blogspot.com/). Its very thick and super-strong, and made for automotive applications... they call it "High Performance" vinyl.
Im surprised he hasn't found this silver color yet for the decals he makes. I got mine at the Fast-Signs store, they sell if off the roll by the linear foot.
