Painted Lip Polishing?
Do you guys think it's possible to get the lip on a wheel polished, and clear coated?
After my other 2 wheels were broken, I searched for and ordered 2 discontinued 5zigens. One arrived from a shop in CA last week, and the other from OR today.
My dad just sent me pics of them (back home in Houston), and I noticed that the lips on both were polished, while my other 2 original wheels are all silver (no polished lip). Do you think it's possible to get the lips polished on the other 2? Either that, or I may eventually powdercoat all 4 since the paint get's damaged easily...
I'll most likely just put matching wheels on each side so no one would notice
Here's a pic of the original wheel:
And here are some pics my dad took of the 2 new ones:

hmmm, now that I've done a search, I've still got a question. Which do you think would be the best route to take?
1. Just strip the paint and powdercoat all 4 wheels (would I still be able to get the bright silver?)
2. Polish the lips on my other 2 wheels (possible to clearcoat too?)
3. Just wing it and put polished on one side, and all silver on the other side
Are powdercoated finishes really durable, compared to regular painted finishes?
