Has anyone experience thiese kamizaze 4-1 headers? there are 3 types as you can see in the pic. how's the gain for each one? Any problems such as scrape? i'm thinking of getting it but you know what we h-t members do, research before buy them correct?

i have a d16z6 sohc.....i woudln't think dc would work well with a sohc and plus they're way overcharging for them....so i thoguth kamikaze would go good since its cheaper and yeah....haha...i need help!!

 

whatever you do dont get black painted headers. the paint will come off and then you have rust. just get a dc sports ceramic header. NOPI has them for $240.

 

those headers aren't very good at all unless you are supercharged or running nitrous. It is great for those kind of setups, but otherwise you will lose a ton of low end power.

Don't waste your money on Jun, get boost.

 

i had a chance to pick a kamikazie up earlier, but i did some research: because the primaries are so short and thick, it's a great header for supercharged or n2o applications, but if you're staying NA you will more than likely lose power - let alone gain any. don't buy it unless you're going SC or nitrous.

i am gonna be running n2o, but i'm not goin to be using it daily. only when i race..but anywho, what about obx headers? how are they on for sohc? are they good? gain? high end?

 

i just noticed you have a CX. dude seriously that motor isnt worth anything performance wise. at least swap engines for a d15b, d16z6, d16y8, or at least a d15b7. you can get one of those engines for as much as youll be paying for a header. you will get 10 times more power out of sohc swap versus a header on a CX motor.

don't expect to get a response on your question. Most people here have a perference to anything, unles what your asking about is on their car.

So if you ask about a header, and it's not what they like, they'll tell you to get something different, not opinions on the header your asking about...

Still not good for nos man, you'll lose power overall. Get a DC! There not expensive, runs under 300 or just find a used one.

 

OBX and Kamakazi headers =

Get a DC Sports header.

1 piece, ceramic coat, 4-2-1 design.
