usdm 98-01 lip. $260 at passwordjdm.com. My stock lip has taken a beating so instead of getting it painted. I wanted to get others opinions / pictures before buying it.

Same situation here, but this is the one that I'd like to pick up. A few bucks more, but OEM style. I've seen it on a few in the appearance form and fitment looks great.

That lip is not quite OEM. From the looks of it the middle section looks more recessed compared to the OEM one. I could be wrong though. Isn't the VIS OEM style?

Are u talkin about the VIS carbon fiber front lip (Spoon look alike)?

I had it for about 4 months and didn't have much give. It's a nice piece though but obviously doesn't have any give...

I'd get it if you don't live by any pot holes resembling a war zone...

The lip is not durable and pretty easy to crack...

you have any idead what the grade of CWINGS carbon fiber is?

i was going to buy a new VIS hood and spoon replica lip, but the lip screws in to the bottom of the bumper which would lower the front bumper about 2.5 inches. i called VIS and they said they were currently developing the OEM style lip for our cars and might be ready for distribution around the end of march.

I don't know the grade, but I'm sure that if you asked on the appearance forum you'd get a better reply. I saw numerous pictures of it one members cars and it looked sweet, with excellent fitment.

THe 98 looks the same, just the back of it is different so it fits the 98 front. The front of the 98 lips and 97 lips look the same.

Do you replace the entire oem lip with those Vis lips or do you mount them underneat the oem lip? thinking of getting one too,but i'm not sure about the instalation, and if it fits the Eudm bumper(Is the Eudm 98-99 bumper the same as the Usdm 98-99 bumper?)...

If you think your stock lip has taken a beating, the Spoon-style one will be destroyed. I have known many people with that lip who cracked and broke it into several pieces not too long after getting it. It really is a waste of money IMHO, it's just too fragile.
