Default zc tranny

i have a crx with a ZC swap. It has the stock DX tranny in it, less than an hour after i bought it 3rd, 4th, and 5th went out. I called on a "ZC" tranny and the people said they have a SOHC zc tranny and it wouldnt last long on a DOHC zc engine, is this correct? Should i go for a SI tranny? Thank you

The SOHC ZC tranny is the same dang tranny as the DOHC ZC tranny IN and OUT!!!
they both require the use of the Intermediate shaft and 90-93 Integra axles

Man that DOHC ZC ran like crap with a DX best thing you could do is ditch it get a DOHC ZC tranny and shft and get 93 teg axels, you will not believe the difference in how that thing will run. Speaking from personal experience.

Well, thats up to the driver. For me its better, they average far fewer miles than the average American Si Transmission. And with the intermediate shaft torgue steer is a distant memory, so know you can have fun driving the car and let time getting it to go straight on hard acceleration. I have seen threads recently where you could buy them for $150 and up.

I have run the DX , the Si AND the ZC trans on my hatch before pulling the ZC to do a B16 SiR swap a few weeks ago.

I liked the ZC best of all.

Now if you build a hybrid, that is a ZC box with Si final drive and 5th gear, mmmmmm now then you really have the ultimate D series transmission, especially if you put a Quaife LSD into it too.
