compared to my HID kit in USDM ITR headlights
Here is a pic that I deliberately underexposed so you can see the blue line at the cut off. This is what gives you that flicker effect that you see

The sidemarkers are supposed to light up when the corners light up. THe corners are not supposed to be illuminated 24/7 either. My old jdm front was wired so that the corners were always illuminated, but in Japan they only light up when you hit the signals or hazards. That is the same for the sidemarkers too.
The 24/7 illumination occurs when a shop doesn't know what they are doing and they use your existing usdm wiring and just hook it up to the jdm front.

Actually I wanted it wired that way. I know the "JDM" way of doing it, but I wanted them to function as a "marker" and also as a turn signal. When my front turn signals blink, the side markers go off, so you get an alternating pattern.
I wanted the side markers to stay on all the time, as there are no lights on the side of the car anymore, (the USDM bumper lenses could be seen from the side). Without the sidemarkers being on, you can't see any lights on the side of the car, since you can't see the headlights fron the side, and I thought that it was a little "safer" doing it this way.
