Does anyone know how to remove the Shiftboot on a 2003 Civic Si?

slide the silver part down off the ****, and unscrew the ****. After that, reach your fingers through the rubber part (gently as to not tear it) and pull outward. It is held on by four clips.

Once the silver dash trim part is off, you can unscrew it from the back.

Yeah what he said and if you are having trouble. Get a flat head screw driver and wrap the tip with tape. Then gently ease it in there to pry it off.

You can also pop it from behind by going thru the glovebox opening. (with glovebox out) There are no pry-marks this way

That might be kinda tight though! I've popped mine out using my method probably 20-30 times (car audio is a bitch) and it's still snug and not scratched at all. With that painted plastic, you just have to be really careful. I'd personally be scared to put a screwdriver near ANY plastic piece in the car, knowing how easily it scratches.

don't dare use screwdriver, even with covered tip, that plastic is way too soft. Like the others are saying, take ur shift **** off, then put ur fingers in there and pull from bottom then get on the sides and pull carefully the top out..

Everything u need 2 know about tech installs :D

The above is an APC leather shift boot, I need 2 shorten it on both ends alil, then it will look like a cleaner install.

make sure you pull the top 2 clips 1st. then pull the bottom. do it the other way around and you may get some light coloured stress marks from the plastic bending.
