D16Y8 Head On D15B2 Block?
I just want to verify that this is what to do when putting a D16Y8 head on a 88 CRX DX D15B2 block
D16Y8 head
D15B2 block
Use D15 cam gear and timing belt
Use 88-91 Civic/CRX distributor, harness (4 injector), resistor box, injectors, and ECU
Anything I'm missing?
What about the intake manifold?

My understanding is that the design of the teeth are different (one rounded, one square) and that you have to use the D15 belt and gear.
the z6 and y8 belts are the same..so buy whichever is cheaper, i have a y8 belt on my d15b1/z6. Your also going to need an adjustable cam gear to get timing correct.
Another thought, if your spending the money to do the mpfi swap..thought about just going obd1 while ur doing it since u need dist. and ecu and everything anyways?

Basically I have a D15B2 right now and I'm getting a D16Y8 head w/ manifolds plus a 88-91 Civic Si distributor, harness, injectors, and resistor box, and ECU for $50.
All I need now is the Y8 head gasket right?

You can not use the ECU . The D15B2A intake manifold will not fit the Y8. The cam gear needs to be adjustable,
You can not run the intake with the Y8. Need a Y8 Intake manifold or modify the current one with a carbonator and bypass all the Injector stuff. Even harder in my opinion but all I do is build D-Series, what would I know! Lol

And the water pump needs to be a Y8 pump gear or the half tooth off will mess up with the water pump of the 1.5l. I have this exact build in my 1991 CRX SI converted. Took me two y8 head and all bent valves to figure it out. The B2 head is different then the D15B and D15b1 as is the intake manifold i,intake, ecu. The CRX has the PM5 non VTec. The p28 is the Y8 ECU and will work with the entire system of the vehicle .
