Escta V700s, anyone have problems at full thread?
Just curious, got a call from Tirerack.com today that they recommend i shave the tyres. They would have to shave it at in indiana, i would have to pay for the extra in shipping ($30) and shaving ($15/tyre)... so, i declined it.
Anyone have problems with chunking at all? I have about 2 weeks to figure out if i want to get them shaved or not...

Nop .. no problem at all .....

If this is for track use, shave them or run VictoRacers. I had had no issues with the Victos shaved or unshaved.

it's actually for autocross and pro-solo stuff.
some open track events...
cheapest/best tyre i could get for my 13x9 wheels.

For autocrossing you can use full tread. HOWEVER you can destroy them like in the picture above if you let them overheat. I did so with 2 drivers, 8 runs on a hot day and I forgot to bleed the tires
Bring a water sprayer if you're concerned but a single driver who remembers to bleed the tires then you shouldn't have any problems.

Other than the usual ECSTA V700 wear groove of death mine did fine for a track day and a season's worth (70+ runs) of autox heat cycled but and at full tread.
I had the K8A compound btw, and I didn't have enough negative camber for most of the life of the tires.

The tread was just barely starting to separate on the most-loaded tire at the track day when I took them off.

Which compound is that, the K8A or K6A?

If not then you ran those wayyy past their life or were too hard on them IMO.</TD></TR></TABLE>
That's true but I overheated my tires when they were full tread but they didn't completely fall apart until I was at least half way through the tire's life.
