Default K20 in CRX

Anyone done a K20 in a CRX yet, or can it even be done. I have heard rumors of a kit by Hasport, and have seen the kit for a EG.

Yes HASport is coming out with a kit; and so are a couple other companies. There is a thread about someone putting a k24 into a 85-87 CRX or something like that, with pictures and information. Again, search.

Marouj (Pacman) is in the process of doing a K-series swap in a CRX this week.

Stay tuned.

Thanks for the info. I cant wait. I think I can get my hands on a K20 Civic Type R engine fairly easy here in Germany. They seem to get wrecked alot here. What a shame.

How much are you paying for those motors out of a wrecked one?

Correction, the mount kit to my knowledge is developed only up to the 92-95 chassis, I spoke with the guy who designed all the mount kits for HASport and he didn't give me any information as far as a kit being in developement for the CRX chassis. I could be wrong though...

There were some old posts on this web site about it back in 02 and I heard a rumor that it is coming. Will be sweet if it does.

The kit is not really feasable...wiring as said previously would be a nightmare, and fitment would be a serious issue as the motor rotates in the opposite direction from stock...but I wouldn't be suprised if someone comes out with one...

To me; it's definately not even worth it. I wanted to do this swap, but decided not to. I'm going to let go of the crx come summer maybe a little afterwards and get an EK to save up for the swap.. good luck to whoever wants/tries to do the k20CRX swap though it'll be crazy

k-series in an EF should be for drag purposes only.... MOTEC will solve all your wiring dilemas

In theory the K series should be able to fit where ever a b-series can fit. The actual exterior dimensions are smaller. I'd seriously thinking about putting a k-series in my crx as long as it didn't involve solid mounts.
