I know it's probably really easy, but how the hell do you it???

any help would be much apprecitated

 

let's see if i remember everything...
back-off nut on shifter and uncrew shift ****.
take plastic cover off below e-brake and two screws underneath the cover.
two screws one on each side of center of dash where center shift part meets center console. might get away with not unscrewing bottom sides of armrest box piece.
lift back end of now loose center and pull back and up...
a few screws from underneath hold shift boot in place...voila
back track to put back together.

yeah its a pain in the *** just to change the shift boot
