Hey guys, i'm lookin to build my LS motor, and I was looking to JE because they had the compression that I was looking for, but they don't list having any pistons for LS motors. Am I just looking at the wrong place? I've done numerous searches, thanks for your help!!

81mm is the LS bore...so yes

 

Yes, just tell them 81mm bore and what compression you want. LS, GSR, it's all the same, just the compression.

In fact, I ordered 9.2:1 comp pistons from them, but they were 81.5mm since I bored 20 over.

yesss they have made many pistons for all honda motors .... there are many different style pistons to choose from and whatever compression you want them to be ...

i got JE 10:1 Flat Top pistons oversized for my B18B like 5 years ago

 

all bseries pistons are interchangable as long as the bore is the same

really they arent exactly the same , the compression will change a little. but they will work .

True true, but I just got em with aftermarket rods and pins, so they were fine. I didn't reuse my stock ones.

EDIT: But wait....I believe that all B-series JE pistons are the same. I know that stock ones are different though. And I'm not talking about just the compression.

 

theres nothing the same about them other than the compression you order thme for.
like in my case. i got ones listed for the GSR in my motor. so instead of 9.8:1 i really had like 9.5:1. the compression will change becuase of the piston area i think it is. look at the stats from the diff B series pistons, same bore , same compression . the other numbers will be a little diff.

 

JE will custom make a piston for any application you want to any spec you want. It takes on average 4-6 weeks for them to arrive though. They have "shelf pistons" which are listed on the site, and custom pistons that you have to fax in a custom order sheet on through a local retailer.
