1994-1997 Honda Accord better looking Antenna Substitutes ??
I have a 1994 honda accord ex and the motorized antenna broke. I was wondering if there was a screw in substitute antenna that looks better than the stock and would still give me great reception. Kinda like putting a s2000 screw in antenna on a toyota celica . Thanks
Dont know if anyone has tried but you can try a 96/97 conversion. Antenna in the rear windshield and shave the old one on the quarter panel.
I have a 94-95 (2dr only) rear window w/integrated antenna for sale, if anybody is interested in the Seattle, WA/Portland, OR area.

And there is a difference between 94-95 and 96-97 rear windows. And a difference between coupes vs sedans. Trust me, I first bought a 94-95 rear from a junkyard, but it wouldn't fit on my 96. And the bastards wouldn't refund me my money back after they assured me that it would fit.

you could also order the antenna masts that go up through the inside of the pillars supporting the roof... hotrods/ luxuries been doing it forever.
for awesome bmw/ merc clarity in the radio... use multiple masts... I believe the s600 and other achieve their perfect reception with 4 masts (one in each pillar front and rear).
more work though than having the rear window changed out.

there are antennae mast repair kits out in the market place. I've seen DIY writeups on google for different cars....
the mast kits are approx $15-25 on ebay. I've heard many autosound shops can do a jigga-rig that "kinda" does the job. YMMV

does anyone know if you can get the 40 degree base mount that adapts to the s2000 antenna so it will fit? they come in the kit, but can you get them separately? anyone anyone, bueller bueller
I would say get the s2k antenna or you can do it like my girl did and shave it
. My car doesnt have a antenna mast but it still gets great radio reception, plus majority of what I listen to is cd's. But thats me.

VR--i think you need to shave your bosses antenna and then handcuff her mang!
..but likewise i rarely, rarely listen to the radio, so this is why im thinkin about pulling the motor and putting the s2k antenna on for the time being

FWIW:
I used the S2K conversion kit for a DC2 on my 91 accord.
I also have a spare antenna motor if anyone wants it. CHEAP.

was the antenna like 25 and the kit 20? from what i have researched i need the 40degree base adaptor to use the s2k antenna on a 94 accord.
sounds about right. The dc2 kit comes with an pvc adaptor that should work for you. If not, it will cost you about $0.82 to make one from home depot.
The whole conversion kit can be made from home depot parts.
