Default The official 14x7 market data poll <Please read CAREFULLY!>

We need to generate some quantifiable data on how many sets of 14x7, 4x100,et38 wheels Team Dynamics could count on selling.

-Target "Racer Price" on the wheels would be $125 each.

-Please post which way you voted (unless there is a way to track who voted where, .RJ)?

-Please keep the "chatter" to a minimum

-All posts related to the possible production, timeframes, sizes, and other information will be updated HERE.

-Please refer anyone who may be interested to this poll, feel free to post a link in other forums!!

-This threads purpose is to track the possible sales on this product, please vote and lets make this happen!!

I would buy them now, but that money already has to go to spec tires for HC. So I'm in the "within a year" group. I currently have three sets of wheels, but only one set is 14x7.

I'll buy one set for sure, and I would leave a deposit (but not pay for them outright until they are released).
AND I may buy another set within a year as well.

At $125 per wheel and a previously stated target weight of 11lbs.
I'll take 5 sets.

I have already written to the CRB to change the rule-but we do need a petition that is strong for it to be accepted. Thus, I will enter my nod for a set of these. Can we get a price including shipping?

I'd be drop dead surprised if you got anywhere as far as getting the rule changed. ITB and ITC guys have been lobbying for years to be allowed to run 14" wheels because 13x6 is getting so rare. So far... Its been rejected because a big point of the IT rules is to have to run the diameter wheel that came as original equipment on the car.

So write more petitions, it can't hurt. <shrugs>

But in the meantime you ITA guys have a manufacturer that has stated a willingness to make wheels specifically for YOU. THATS where you need to concentrate your efforts.

If they were making 10lb, 13x6, custom offset, and hubcentric wheels for my car you can bet your *** I'd buy at least 4 sets. I'd also be on every applicable web board on the net drumming up support.

To review:
Panasport (11lbs) - $175 each
Volk (9lbs) - $300ish each
Proposed Team Dynamics 14x7 (11lbs) - $125 each

uhhh... yeah. There's not alot of deep decision making needed there.

And yes, the TD wheels have already proven to be safe and reliable bolted to bunches of Spec Miatas.

I'm in for a set but they would have to promise them soon. I need to purchase four wheels this year...

At least somebody recognizes a decent deal when/if offered and steps up to the plate and says they'll buy multiple sets.

I would only pay in advance or put down a deposit to a trustworthy company. Since this would be Tom from OPM, I would gladly put money down and wait. Anyone else, I would not.

I'm having a hell of a time finding good, lightweight 14x7 wheels at a decent price. I had a much easier time finding 13x6's for our ITC cars. That being said, if TD can make a 14x7 that's 11 lbs for $125 a wheel, you bet your *** I'd be down for two sets at least.

I voted for the 1 set and have cash in hand. I am definately buying a set of 14x7's somewhere before the season. they may be used panasports if no dates are set. I too would give Fowler my M/C number today if it would help or they would take orders.

I'll buy a set as soon as I can... I'm waiting to find a set of 14X7 wheels. Harder then heck to find.

I can't vote though, so add one to have money as soon as they are available.
