There's tons of cam lock vs. latch lock info already on the board and likley in the FAQ. They're both safe and they're both legal (by design anyway, I can't speak to the harnesses pictured above as I have no experience with either). Personally, I find the cam lock much easier to get IN to, and both are fast when getting OUT.

I've used both styles (cam and latch). Both can be legal, assuming the manufacturer has tested the belts and gotten the FIA/SFI labels. The only difference I noticed was ease of entry - the camlock was easier to assemble when beginning a session.
I ended up with the latch belt on the passenger side and camlock on driver side. I wish I had done it the other way - I keep having to explain how to use the latch to passengers who are not harness savvy.
If the latch-link is less expensive (usually it is) and you are on a tight budget, by all means save yourself a few dollars. Just make sure the belt meets whatever standards your racing body requires (FIA, SFI, etc).

Given that Crow supplies Petty Enterprises among others-I would think that theirs can be had with SFI tags too. The price versus Simpson is very competitive. Check out M&R as well-they made my window net setup and tiedowns-really nice and reasonably priced as well. Which do I prefer-I'm old fashioned and go with Latch and Link.

This is in a street car?? Why do you think you need a harness for everyday use?
