Who's got the hybrid-brakes?
Noticed a lot of people hybriding their brakes, and wondered if anyone did it to the EF/EDs. Here's a couple questions. What if I went with an S2 brake setup? What's the smallest rotor I could use? 9"? 10"? Would it even fit under a 15x7 wheel? Maybe a spacer(s) needed? Any input would be great!
Since my brakes are pretty much dead anyway I was thinkin of
Getting the S2 brakes, along with brembo replacements for an integra hoping the rotors are pretty big..
Then going from there and trying to work it onto my CRx.
I want to be able to take the setup off in case I sell the car and want to keep the brakes for the next car.. thanks!

Haha yes they are 5lug. Since when did a caliper/pad work in junction with the number of bolts/lugs there was?

RWD vs FWD
its going to be a mess , why not try a swap thats mostly a bolt-on affair ?

Like I said, the brakes are coming rather cheap. I doubt it matters what drivetrain is has as I'm only going to use the calipers and pads. I have no idea what the smallest rotor I can use is, so I'm going to have to try and find that out too, because I know the stock rotor size definately won't fit under a 15" wheel.

If I knew, I probably would have stated that. Probably need a bit of work like the ITR calipers; grindage..

crx si - 242mm - 9.53in
civic ex/ integra - 262mm - 10.32in
nsx/itr/legend/prelude vtec - 282mm- 11.10in
i cant find any info on the s2k rotor size...but i would make an educated guess that its probably 282mm.
this info is from brembos catalog...

Well I have the 4disc already and it's pretty good but it's wearing down and need to replace stuff soon, so I was thinkin about a "special" setup. This setup will be taken over to a new car if I get one [99-00 civic coupe/hatch]
Anyway.. thanks to the other guy for the sizes never knew the crx discs were that big.. Anyone with more information?

First, you're an *******.
Second, putting S2K brakes on an EF is stupid, and not worth it.
You can find 90-91 EX spindles for $35 each in junkyards. With those, you can do any brake swap you want, including ITR brakes onto those spindles. Which, is a direct bolt up with the right calipers and redrilled rotors and can all be done for well under $200.
For the time and money you're going to put into fabricating S2K brakes (and eventually giving up), the above recipe is the way to you.

wh0adie I'm an ******* for wanting to find a solution to putting s2 brakes on my ED [not EF dumbass]. Second, how is it stupid? Just cause I don't want to find the cheapest way to get better brakes makes me stupid? Who says I'll eventually give up? People who assume, like you. =

edit : please, VAP, or anyone else who has responded in this post: Was I an ******* to you?
