well in my opinion i say get an engine swap to a b-series then turbo that, because considering that the d15b is a 1.5 l engine and is really slow stock i would think the turbo would be a waste unless you plan to switching another motor later on but i had a d15b engine then i just did a mini me on it (well going to) but i don't know it's all based on personal preference

Go for it man. You'll like the hp if you do it right. Its a 1.5 so it revs up faster than a 1.6l. But you should put a vtec head on there and then boost that. Go with three oem head gaskets and that will lower your c/r to about........8.5 to 1 somewhere around there so its safer. Then tune the car like fuel and ignition timing and you can run 10psi daily. Thats what I'm doing. Oh go with some dsm 450cc injectors. And my friend can burn you a custom turbo program so that your car runs like a stock boosted car(like it came from the factory boosted.) If you know about putting 450s in your car everyone has trouble with using them them the right way. Keep us posted. good luck yo

We took the D15B7(92 DX) and ran a 13.1@103 mph out at Ennis, TX.

Crane stage 3 turbo cam
Cometic stock sized metal head gasket
ARP studs
DSM T25 w/HX manifold and adapter plate
DSM 450cc injectors
Apexi Super AFC
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Saab intercooler
muffler shop i/c piping
open downpipe
manual boost controller
M/T 22x8x15 slicks

Boost was at 12 psi on that run. The run was with 1 bad cylinder, no. 2 at 120 compression, the rest at 200. Blew that cylinder using a Tacoma V6 fuel pump, couldn't supply enough fuel.

Plans for spring are a D16Y8 block and a bigger turbo and intercooler. And some fresh slicks.

First of all...he said a D15b.aka..a jdm SOHC vtec engine..130 hp stock. These engines love boost. I have a friend running 10psi daily with zdyne gold ecu. For about 2g's you will have a car doing low 13s..which with the B your never going to have for 2 grand.

you know this man .. the jdm 1.5!!!! the reason why i scrapped the gsr is i didnt have the money to supply a turbo plus i had a custom made headgasket made by srt. not bad for 225 dollars. but i need to know what kind of cam because this stocker aint gonna work with a t3/t4 turbo iwth the advancements i gonna be making...i am still young 19 and im gonna listen to yall so

thats actually the same motor im about to swap in and boost, but im just gonna roll with a 14b t3-t4 too big for that motor in my opinion, if you go to http://www.homemadeturbo.com there is some nice info there on that turbo on a similar motor, just look at the z6 with the 14b that will pretty much be the same setup we would use.

I say go for it... Built right the d15 put's out alot of horsepower... My d15 was in a full race crx.. 24psi and 125 shot sent the crx down the track at 10.88@139mph. On the dyno 450hp and 365 feet of torque. It's now rebuilt in my street / strip 90 crx waiting to be finished..

d15b7 non vtec
rev hard manifold
turbonetics t3/t4
tial wastegate
greddy blow off valve
STR mainfold
aem fuel rail
weapon R fpr
Web cam, ferrea valve's, retainer's, dual spring's.. Head work done by kurt gordon in CA.
aries piston's, crower rod's, forged knife edged crank, ARP head stud's, Block saver.

Just a few thing's you might want to think of to make your d15 FLY!

u can have those times with the 14b if u do it right, again the t3 is a bit much for dseries in my opinion...

i'll have my swap done in a about 3-4 weeks, rounding up the last parts i need, but i wont be boosted till like 2 months, i just started getting the peices for that.

yeah a d15bvtec turbo can be alot faster than a gsr, for alot less money

if you had the exact same ammount of cash to spend, the 1.5t would be faster than than the gsr n/a

eg6turbo has a d15bvtec, with a slightly modified greddy kit, he ran a 13.6 on like 8psi with steelies.
