Default cracked block near freeze plug is it fixable!!!! i wanted to drop motor in tomorrow HELP!!!

I have a b18a lsvtec set up.
the block came from a integra ls automatic.
there was an extra coolant passage that wasn't being used so i tried putting a steel freeze plug in its palce and i guess it was to big and i hit it to hard!!!!
SO now i have a dime sized hole near the freeze plug.
there is no crack, but there is just a small hole.

IS THE BLOCK TOAST????????

i put a crap load of JB Weld over it will it work or will the coolant pressure be much. Would the heat play a major role in the JB Weld holding?

I would venture a guess it is toast. It might be reairible with the right equipment and the right people but would likely cost far more than its worth.

You can try the jb weld if you don't mind pulling the motor again if it donesn't work, but the best thing would be to get it welded by a shop good w/aluminum.The people who post there blocks use epoxy to seal the hole from leaking,so it might work.Or you could try to drill the hole round and tap it for a plug, that should work I would think.

Do you have any pics? Don't hack it up by using jb weld and epoxy. At the very least, have someone weld it up.

i already dropped the motor in so it will be a bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think drilling, tapping and putting a bolt in it would work well.

nickel size isn't that bad, drill & tap it.. then use MR.gasket sealer around the bolt and let it sit over night. you'll be ready after 24 hours.
