Thanks for answering all my questions guys.. took my R in today for the 30,000 mile service (see earlier post) and had them put in Motul 5.0 brake fluid. When I picked the car up I saw there was some fluid left over..turns out the dealer used less than 1 bottle of brake fluid (each bottle is 500 ml). I was under the impression from other posts here at H-T that they should have used at least 2 bottles..

Am I missing something or did the dealer screw up? I'm a little paranoid of dealers...

 

First of all, is it filled to the top on your brake fluid resorvoir?

When Jeff (Pyromaster) was putting the Motul fluid, it took probably 1 1/2 bottles of the stuff. (we also had some spillage). You sure that they flushed the old crap out all the way?

 

The fluid resevoir is full.
I'm not sure that the old stuff was completely flushed out, I only noticed this after I got home. I had just assumed they had...

Not to scare you. I never trust the McDavid service department at all. They **** up my first oil change (oil dripping everywhere on my way back home) and scratch up my front lip
Never went back there.....
