Default Slow blowing blower motor, any known alternatives???

My '91 CRX blower motor blows very slowly and sometimes not at all. I went to an auto parts store and the kid there said even the new ones suck (he had the same problem in a '90). Does anyone know of a fast-blowing one from another car is a direct swap? Please let me know, it's COLD!

Thanks, Bro. I'll give it a shot, but just in case, does anyone else know of a blower motor swap?

the motors theyselves are the same used in almost every honda.. only thing different is the mounting or the fins.. idealing i'd like to get the accord blower motors, they are alittle different, but i've tryed many times to get it to fit.. let me put it to u this way.. its abotu 3 times the size, uses dual fans.. and blows the oppsite way..
so yeah.. nuff said.. good luck

Well, are there any that spin the right way, are the same size, have the same mounting holes, and spin a teeny-bit faster?

It's possible for a motor to look the same on the outside, and be really different on the in.

if they have the same electrical conector, and the same bolt patern, then they should work.... I've had to replace the blower on both my 91 Civic (worn out brushes - sounds like the problem you're experiancing - got another 88-91 from the junkyard) and my ex-wife's 97 Civic and both blowers looked very similar. I didn't get a chance to try one in the other car but If you can find one cheap/free it may be worth a shot! good luck getting the old fan out, mine was really stubborn (had to loosen the entire heater box to make enough room to get it out)

Luckily in the CRX the blower is mounted vertical instead of horizontal. Thanks for your suggestions.
