Default Buying a new header..

I have been thinking alot lately about what header to buy, and I have spend many evenings reading about the "power vs. $$$" and right now I am at that point i just cant decide what to get...
It's for a B16 and the plan is to put in skunk2 stage2 cams with valvetrain, ITR intake manifold and ctr pistons.. Either Random Tek. 2.5" cat. or Carsound 2,5" cat. I think the catback is either going to be the skunk2 or Apexi GT.. (have considered the Ebay magnaflow thing though) ..

But I don't think that the catback will make any big difference in the HP gains.. But I am confused about the header..
#1 choice would be TODA.. good gains bit pricey and maybe you pay to much for the name???
#2 JG Edelbrock "IB-moddified" (friend got one and he is very happy about it)
#3 ..save a little on the header and buy the Comptech (2,25" cat) (and get the internals work done quicker...)
#4 your suggestion..

what would be your choice???

*The DC-JDM 4-1 is not an option because of the low/none clearence*

My choice would be HyTech. The Toda header is not bad-guy I know running it on his ITR, and the car is pretty quick,

I had the Modified JG on my old motor, and it worked well. It made just over 240hp and 166tq
For the money that is a good header.

Clearance is not as bad as the JDM DC, not as good as the ITR JDM header. Makes more power than both. The price is substantial- about $1300 U.S.

if money is no issue i'd go for a smsp or hytech header along with their exhaust. for the biggest bargain get the dc jdm 4-1....if intrested in a custom header....i'd recommend the headertech header....it made the same amount of power as the toda header and is 400 bucks cheaper......650 with merge collector stainless steel...or get the mild coated for 450...for it's price it's a bargain compared to other custom headers. i've seen these headers make 11whp over jdm 4-1.....and on the header test by titan it lost to hytech by 3.5whp.

Not sure if you already checked but I would suggest checking out Titan-Motorsports latest header test.

well I did check it out, but I think The only headers there with good ground clearence, is the DTR and the Toda, so I guess it is going to one of them.
I think ill get the DTR... Along with the Skunk2 Catback and a Highflowcat or testpipe.

Does anyone know where to find the Skunk2 catback to a fair price, maybe a used on ( EG Hatchback)???

I second the Bisimoto Headers. Clearance is good on the bottom for street use. and performance is top notch.

I love my toda header!!!!! The mid-range is unbelievable, and the top end is great. Not too mention the ground clearance is one, or if not the best of any other header. Yeah it is very pricy but it is worth it in the long run if you are going to heavily mod your engine.

TODA
