Default DC Sports Exhaust a Good Idea on My Car?

Okay, so someone said they will give me a special deal, $300 for aDC Sports exhaust. My mods so far are Comptech Icebox, JDM 4-1 header, Carsound Cat., V-AFC is currently waiting to be installed (having technical issues...).

So with all those mdos would a DC Sports exhaust give me any performance gains or just be a waste? I do not care about looks, etc, I am merely concerned with performance.

I feel like it might not be worth it because I don't have enough mods to really make the stock muffler a bottleneck. Maybe with cams, something else, okay, but with just the above listed mods?

Also, how loud is this thing? I want sometihng close to stock, no a loud coffee can or some ****.

Thanks guys!!

I have heard that the DC SPORTS exhaust is not that quiet. On the cars i have heard it on it is raspy IMHO. Like you said you dont really need the exhaust unless you have some cams as well. Keep the stock exhaust as getting a DC will only yield mild power gains (1-3 hp). Anyone disagree???

I just told Slowerthanu to rip off his DC Sports header. From what I have seen, DC Sports won't cut it when compared with the more popular brands around here. It'll be the best 300 bucks you never spent because you'll end up wanting something new. Just save for an Apexi or 5Zigen or something along those lines.

DC sports stuff has some quality issues. I know a few freinds have had welds crack on their exhausts.

I'd just buy the muffler you want and have a shop make a custom exhaust for you. You won't spend a whole lot more (100 bucks or so) and you'll have a better exhaust.

As for power, I think an exhaust is an exhaust. Most seem to be 2.5 inch mandrel bent with a straight through muffler. There really can't be more than a 1-2 hp difference between them all,

If you want it to sound close to stock then the DC exhaust is not for you. A buddy of mine has it on his R and it's loud.
