Default Hard to install short throw shifter?

I let a friend of mine to drive my car yesterday as we went around the town. And he said that i should get a short throw shifter for it from DC sports. he has a '98 camaro z28 with a hurst short throw shifter and i really thought it was very close to the integra one. But he said that when he bought his car it came with it from the privious owner. Now, where would i have it installed it if i buy it in the next couple weeks? acura dealrship? or any shop for that matter?

thanks

if you have basic mechanical skills, you should be able to do it yourself easily. They usually come with instructions as well. Shops will charge you an arm and a leg so if you can do it yourself and save the $50, then do it.

Do it yourself and save the labor money, It just a matter of removing the B-pipe and then you will see the shift linkage right there. there is an article at team integra that show step by step on how to do this. Ps skunk2 or neuspeed shifter are recommended but that jsut me...

you dont necessarily have to take the exhaust off...i installed mine with the exhuast intact...it may have made the working space a little bit smaller, but it was still easier than taking the whole exhaust off.

yea you really dont gotta remove the B-pipe, if you got a friend to help get one, it only takes about 30 mins. Oh yea spend the extra money and get a skunk2.

Pretty much any site that sells basic import performance equipment will have one.
