Default Few questions on JG/Edelbrock 65mm TB

I am considering buying this throttle body and was wondering is anyone running it. I really want this one cause it comes with the TPS already set and thats just one less thing I have to worry about. Anyone running this throttle body, if so how do you like it? Also who has descent prices for this TB?

How much do you think you gain from it?

What kind of manifolds do you guys have with the Edelbrock TBs?
What size? 65mm?

I 'm looking for one for my '99 GSR and I 'm not sure which one to get. Can you get the most out of a 65mm Edebrock with the stock ECU (factory Fuel maps, etc.?). How are their manifolds? Better than Skunk 2? Are they as light? Please advise on what kind of mani & TB to get. I want good quality stuff with decent power gains. I looked at a Skunk 2 mani (for B18C1) and the craftsmanship looked like below average. It was pretty light though.

Reworked factory manifold is your best bet in my opinion.

I know I don't post on here much, but here's some experience I had with JG products. For stock to mild motors, JG Edelbrock "Victor X" IM's will actually hinder performance. This is coming from Javier himself. Honestly if you are looking for the most bang for the buck performance, wait until AEBS comes out with their manifold for the GSR or build your motor to where the Victor X will actually benefit you.

As for experience with a 65mm TB. I had one of JG's first batches and ran that on my all motor crx running a stock bottom end b16 with type R head. Never had a problem.

Currently I run a custom manifold constructed by JG, but I'm running a crazy setup, so it wouldn't be an option for a stock to mild motor.

Just my 2 cents and information coming from my personal friend JG.

thanks, may I should post this on the auto-x/road race forum..

I can't do much to the motor. Just want to do some more mods I 'm allowed in Street Prepared class (auto-x).
The car is lightly modified with AEM CAI, lighter flywheel & LSD (Crank pully soon). I 'm allowed to replace the mani, TB, ECU and not much else.

So basically I 'm trying to determine which TB & manifold would be best for the mid-range as I don't go much over 6K (VTEC) when auto-xing in 2nd gear. If I do it's only for about a second and usually just once in 2nd throughout the course (I 've hit 7500-8K but that's rare and about once or twice a year).

are there any other TBs out there... I just put a b20z in and right now I'm using the stock TB with a Skunk2 IM

I'm going t have to go light on mods for a while but I thought I might pick up a TB, just to make sure everything is there when the cams go in
