Best clutch for daily driven all-motor!!
I have a B18c5 and I wanna make 200-210whp(tuned)
and I wanna know what is the best clutch to use for a street driven car? It will see very light track time maybe a practice at VIR but that would be about it. I was lookin at ACT, Exedy, HyperClutch or Clutchmaster. I am going to get a Spoon flywheel and cross gears and LSD.

bottom line, the best
just dont drag too many times back to back</TD></TR></TABLE>
yup or the **** starts slipp'n like ****.. i have the action 1ks i love it! i can do back to back drags now, 7krpm drops with drag radials... all i have to do is not power shift =o) i dont think powershifting helps anyways, speed shifting is what counts
best thing about it is that its a kevlar disc and not have to worry wear and tear ever!

Action clutch has been my best bet, after trying a myriad of different units. I ran one of their clutches for 4 yrs..street and strip duty.
I use an Action clutch in my current race motor as well.

oem clutch is fine.
if you drag race - then you will probably want something with a stiffer pressure plate.
stiff clutches suck for daily driving in traffic - that's why i recommend OEM
I have the Spoon clutch on my R (212 whp/145 tq) and it holds fine. I have more problem with tire traction more than anything else.

I have an ACT HD pressure plate, with the street disc, and the XACT prolite flywheel, and i would take a clutchmasters clutch over it anyday. I prefer the clutchmasters clutches ive driven over my act clutch.
clutchmasters stage 3 is just fine for street use (my .02)

i have a clutchmasters stage 4. same price and pedal pressure. sprung hub, disc holds more power and it drives like a stock clutch. you can barely tell its aftermarket. i have a act xtreme, with a unsprung hub in my other car. dude my gf drives that ****, b/c i am too week to push that pedal more than 5 times a day. parking really sucks with that clutch. city driving and living sucks with that car.
yup cm stage 4 is a great clutch!! lasted me about 10 months, took alot of abuse!!

the action 1ks is now being put through the same abuse as the stage4.. its been 4 months now, holding up pretty well so far..

I have CM stage4 and a friend of mine has stage3, they're both awesome. I'd say stage3 is perfect for the street, it last longer and a bit easier to handle when you're stuck in traffic. Both have a really soft pedal though.

Are you actually happy that your clutch only lasted 10 months??? I MAYBE understand if you are drag racing every weekend dozens of times, but I would be pretty disappointed at 10 months.

well yeh i was dissapointed at first, but any other clutch would of been toasted sooner or done serious damage to my tranny.. but i really abused this clutch and its been on 2 of my previous motors (blew up motors in the process.) might have lasted more than 10 month i dunno it was so long ago but it was probably 1 yr max. no race clutch is gonna give you oem longtivity

I have CM's stage 3 on my car and I drive my car everyday w/o problems.
Nu Image is the authorized stocking dealer in our area, so you should call them for the cheapest price.

I've had ACT clutches in both of my Hondas. Great clutches that I've never had a problem with and I abused the **** out of one of them (a number of people learned how to drive stick on my first Civic w/ the ACT clutch, also saw a countless amount of really hard launches).
