Default for those with mpfi swap and si camshaft

Guys I'm having problems again with my setup

I have a 88 crx dx with mpfi swap and the si camshaft, i also bought an aem adjustable cam gear because I people said i needed it.

Now my questions is, what is the configuration you guys have?

how many degrees on the cam gear? retarded or adavanced
what about your ignition timing? is it retarded or advanced?

Mine best ran with the ignition retarded like 4 degrees and the adjustable cam gear retarded 4 degrees, why? I dont know, idle was bad but car ran really strong, mostly on top end.

Need help here.

Adjustable cam sprockets should be dyno-tuned.

you dont need an adjustable cam gear to run an si camshaft. just line it up to TDC like your old one
