'98+ rear seat install on '94-'97?
I realized the '98+ rear seat mounts are different than the '94-'97, but has anyone managed to get them fit? I'm thinking of installing the USDM ITR rears, but finding '97 ITR rears is so much harder than getting '98+.
They sit a little weird. About 1/2" high.
Two ways to get around this, cut off your stock bracket thing and weld it to the new seats. I didn't try this for fear of catching the seat on fire.
The second, and way easier, this to do is go to http://www.hmotorsonline.com, call them up, and ask for a JDM 96-97 ITR rear seat. He got me one. Only difference between the two is the JDM doesn't have that plastic tray in the middle of the seat.

I'm guessing it's because of the big cross-beam brace that bolts down at the front edge of the rear seats.
I noticed it on Robbie's '98 GS-R, but my '95 doesn't have it.

I wish I had some pictures for you, but the 94-97 tegs had a bracket in the front that looks like a Z while the 98-01 had a bracket that looks like an L.

Well, it has been so long ago that I installed that maybe I don't remember having to HE-MAN that baby in there.
But nonetheless, I got it in there without welding etc..etc.. Unless my seller lied about the year of the seats.

Because the bare sheetmetal and wiring harnesses etc. underneath them are ugly.

I noticed something was very different in this area when I tried to put my rear carpet mats in a friend's 2001 LS. I looked on http://www.acuraparts247.com at the "inner panel" diagram, and it shows some "gussets" that bolt in at this area on the 2001 model which aren't present on the 1994 model. They appear to make up a three-piece beam that connects the two sides of the car.
I wonder how much this assembly affects the structural rigidity. Would it be possible to transplant it into older Integras?
