Default ITR owners please help me out

I just recently bought an itr. My ? is do itr's run a little hot? I don't think it's anything big but compared to my last car (01 gsr) it runs a little hotter. Is this normal for the itr? Water temp is at about 40%

Oil temp? You have a oil temp gauge?

40%? You mean the gauge on the cluster? As in water temp gauge?

If you're asking about the water temp dummy* gauge, 40% is normal.

* Not calling you a dummy. It's just that the gauge is practically useless in relaying any real info.

The stock water temp guage will run at "~40%" from approximately 150-215 degrees. That's a very broad range. "If it moves - shoot it!"

I first noticed when I got my R that the fan kicked on more than in my GSR....as a matter of fact, I dont' ever remember the fan coming on in the GSR....the R has a thinner radiator and therefore a little less cooling capability....why the thinner radiator? Weight savings of course.

It's normal, don't worry about it.

If you think it runs to warm, go with the mugen t-stat & fanswitch combo. Mine loved it, seems to run alot nicer too.
