Default running a new car at autox tomorrow, few questions

my CSP CRX is down with worn out CV joints so I'm borrowing a friends 92 Integra. I want to swap my 15" C8s on there since her tires suck. Does E-Stock allow larger wheels tires? If not, what class would I then be in?

Anyone else going to autox at Greensboro Coliseum tomorrow? I'll be there with a red integra and black C8s. Stop by and say hey

No larger wheels in stock unless they were available separately as a line-item option when the car was new. In your case I don't think 15" wheels were an option on that car.

So that puts you in STS.

You might be surprised how well you do. I always like moving from a fast car to a slower one. It always seems like I have plenty of time to do things. The important point is to make sure your corner entries don't overpower the weaker suspension/tires.

Good luck,
Alan

Greensboro, eh? I thought about going. Looks like I will be assisting in removing a Miata tranny instead. Hopefully it isn't too wet or too cold, and hopefully they run the event right.

Like others have said, the wheels will bump you out of stock class. If it is wet out, stick with the original tires and have fun in HS, they shouldn't wear significantly.

So how was the event? I missed both the Greensboro ones now. We did get the Miata tranny removed (only took 2.5-3 hours to get it out, that was starting from scratch, and cleaning up at the end).

Did you run STS?

it was a lot of fun actually. It made me realize how much I like my CRX though. Her Teg is nice but mine just feels more responsive all around. To be honest, the course wasn't all that fun, the slalom was real tight and you couldn't carry that much speed through it, at least I couldn't! I kept understeering like crazy at the last turn around and that really messed me up on all my runs, dropped me out the power band and caused me to loose a few 10ths. I had to leave early so I didn't see the final standings but my fastest was a 43.710 which should put me 4th or 5th out of 7, I think.

STS isn't for me, I like CSP! CRXs and Miatas are fun to watch and I can relate to them, I can't relate to Preludes and 240SXs. I get my *** handed to me in both classes but I'd rather it happen in CSP. STS just kinda seems boyish to me, I don't know why. CSP is more serious.

TSCC did a good job running the event and the weather was great. Cool and dry.
My mom is thinking of getting a new Miata, if she does I'll be making some trips to MD to try it out at some of their local events. I never liked Miatas all that much until I started autocrossing, now I want one.
