CHEAP TYPE R FOR SALE
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...ist=8
NEED to get rid of this car now. All offers will be respected, just throw something out there. Yes, it does have a salvage title...but, no, there are absolutely no problems. Great chance to steal a type R as i need money now. Oh, and it will be sold with stock wheels and brand new tires.

Obviously im not expecting to get 16300 for the car. That is why i made it clear that i find any offer reasonable. I think mid 14s would be more realistic...if anybody is in the denver area they could vouch for the excellent condition it is in. NOBODY would be able to tell it has been salvaged. but thanks for the replies.

EVERYBODY who looks at the title (i.e., the prospective buyer and the finance company - which is all that matters) will know that it is salvaged.
Salvage titles take between 30-40% off the value of a car - not 10%.

I live in Southern Cali, I would buy that but like everyone above said, way too much money for a salvaged title car. Its not how good the condition of the car is, its the title that says everything man. People can test drive the car and inspect it then pay as much as they believe its worth, but even 14,xxx for a salvaged title Type R is alot of money. I have 12,000 for an R so if i find one in good condition (prob salvage title) in socal, I would buy it, but good luck.
It was in a rear end accident. All of the rear panels and glass was replaced. I have pictures of it in its damaged state. Obviously i know that the buyer will know about the salvaged title...my point is that the car runs and looks like it did from the factory. And you say that a salvage title takes 30% off the price. I have heard closer to 20%, but even at 30%, i have seen type Rs in good shape go for 19 or 20k...in that case mid 14s is right on the mark. Somebody in colorado should come give it a test drive and let me know if the car is fucked up as bad as you all think it is.
cursing / selling doesnt go well together,
but thanks for shedding light on it...got any pictures of it in damaged states? every damaged panel.....if they damage the rear quarter panels they'd have to cut/weld new ones on....as i think its part of the chasis..i of course could be wrong... (as i usually am)
no one is saying its screwed up...just that the car has been in such a serious enough of an accident that the insurance company deemed to total it. With that in mind, a car damaged enough like that would not be considered "perfect". now you could argue you repaired it back better than its original state....
but if that was the case you would spend much more money than the value of the car itself to do..

I paid 16000 for my 2001 ITR with 43000 miles and a clear title all in very good shape, in fact the only things not factory original were some well thought out bolt on mods, and some overspray on the hood from where it had been keyed. I can't agree that mid 14's is right on the mark. Maybe 13000 at the most.
