Default disabling the EGR system - possible?

Originally, the idea was to remove the entire EGR system, and then run a chipped GS-R ECU w/ a VAFC.

However, Improved Touring rules say no piggybacks. Soooo, that rules out the VAFC.

so I two Questions -

1: with a GS-R ECU, would I be adding or removing fuel on the VAFC when tuning? If adding, would I be able to tune it with fuel pressure alone?

and if not....

2: What is the best way to make the ECU think the EGR is functioning? Would I have to wire up some kind of relay-resistor combo?

Any other ideas?

the p72 makes the car run lean so you would to add fuel, the fpr only alters pressure not the volume (i think?). and as for the resistor im really not sure.

hmmm, thanks for the info. With a given injector pulse, me thinks that increased fuel pressure will result in more fuel per pulse. Guess I'll give it a try

You could also run a chipped P28 with an obd2-1 harness. (Assuming its a 97+ lude). Good fuel map and with the right chip you could have adequate performance without the ecu looking for the egr.

Yes but be careful and make sure your air/fuel mixture is good because the p28 has no knock sensor. It could be deadly if the engine isnt tuned right.
