Starting Problem with Toda Powered GS-R
Well the problem is that sometimes my car starts, and other times it just doesn't. When it doesn't, the car doesn't make any sound of any kind, it basically doesn't respond. I've had the battery, alternater, and starter checked by one of the auto shops(auto zone...) and the tests for all three turned out fine.
You can *roll start the car with no problem, but its a pain of having to worry about finding a hill to push it down.
I have been told it could be the neutral relay or something like that, I guess thats the thing that prevents your car from starting when you don't have the clutch in.
So any ideas on what could be wrong?
*I don't get a check engine light or anything. And I'm running a Hondata p28.
Oh yea, and its my 21st birthday today

check your tranny ground. mine was loose just alittle and my car would start fine sometimes and other times i would get nothing at all. all i had to do was tighten it up just alittle and i was all good. just something to look at......may not be the problem but....
Happy 21st!
Check tranny ground.
It sounds like you have an old honda starter. How many miles on starter? My old (145k) starter did the same as you describe, replacing it solved the problem. Use voltmeter to measure voltage at starter with key in on position, you should see at least 11.5v when you turn from on to start position. If the starter is getting the voltage but not turning, replace the starter. If voltage low, check battery.
Honda Main Relay and ignitor(ICM) is usually heat related, the engine turns over but won't start.

Yes the radio and all the lights work even when the car won't start. The starter has 103,000 miles, but I've had the starter checked, and they say its ok... so I'm going to check the tranny ground..
