We're working on opening up a couple new websites. Currently our online store is located here:

But we're working on AutomotiveWear.com and as a part of that we will have:
Honda-Wear.com and
AcuraWear.com

I'm looking for feedback on what types of garments, colors, special embroideries, etc that you guys may be looking for.

We have an average two to three week turn around time for our garments. Is this to long? Or because all our garments are custom made to order, this is acceptable?

I try to run a 20% off special on HT every other month. But it's so expensive to try to advertise on all the different message boards (HT cost us almost 100$ a month itself). I don't have a couple grand laying around to spend on advertising every month. Do you guys have any suggestions?

We're sponsoring the East Coast Honda Challenge and are planning on running an ad in Grassroots Motorsports. We're not sure yet about Sport Compact or some of the other mags because of cost.

I'm just looking for ideas and suggestions on how we can get our business moving. Trying to sell out of our storefront is just not cutting it, so the internet is our only option. And what better place than Honda-Tech!

 

do the site in flash or at least a better layout... Kinda a dry site...(but I dunn what market your aiming at)

i 2nd that. u guys should get an artist and make designs of different cars. (ITR, EG, EJ, EK, EF, ETC.) shirts look kinda plain. this is my opinion.

 

Be careful. Using trademarks "Honda", "Acura" in the domain name of a commercial website may be infringing and can open you up to civil liability, I would imagine it is only a matter of time before you get a cease and desist letter form one of Honda's attorneys and you have to remove all commerce from the site and/or transfer the domain name. I think they will take a commercial site much more seriously than an enthusiast site like this one.

But the question still remains on the website name (which is one of the reasons we havn't launched yet). My legal people are trying to find out if the use of "Honda-Wear.com" falls under the use of the name for advertising, or if it falls under something else.

Hopefully will try to smooth it out in the future.

But from the way I surf, when I'm on dail-up, Flash does nothing but bogs down my connection and annoys me. So we wanted to keep it simple for a faster refresh rate, but we do need to spice it up some.

 

if your looking for a web designer, let me know. i go to school at the art institute of las vegas and we have a awsome web design program. im sure one of the students would do it for free because their looking for projects to put in their portfolio. i would do it for free but im a computer animation major.(dont know that much on web design) anyways pm me if your interested. good luck with the site. ill be ordering from u guys shortly.

Honda-Wear.com is not going to happen. Too much red tape and legal mumble-gumble for me to deal with. So we are opening AutomotiveWear.com!
Still need some help in getting a proffesional look to the page.
