Default Cheap bikes, too good to be true?

i been checking out bikes on ebay and i have seen some cheap sportbikes. I've seen a 2003 hayabusa's going for 2500 shipped, 2003 r1 2000 shipped, 2003 cbr900rr for 3000 shipped. but they are all from europe (netherlands, bulgaria) the bikes are clean title also and in excellent conditon with low miles. Is there a catch? can the bikes be registered in the US? anybody?

dude, I looked at buying a Busa from england. Don't do it. That's my suggestion.

First, you have to pay a certain customs fee.

Then, you pay the registration.

and all this other ****, it's gotta be a scam.

I got scammed SELLING something overseas, through paypal!

Just too big of a risk.

Man, ebay sucks, if it's cheap, it is a scam. If it's not a scam, then it's freaking expensive!

Ahh soo true! This guy wanted me to pay western union only, and got pissed when I wanted to pay through a different method.

When I expressed my interest in buying, he cancelled his ebay auction, probably so there was no way of proving that it was a legal sale, or a legal agreement.

******* scammers.

I know exactly what you're going through man, you're trying to tell yourself it will be alright and you'll get the bike for soo cheap.

Don't do it. I've already been screwed in every way possible through ebay, the parts trader, and even honda-tech.

It's a tough cruel world, and it's depressing to think that people are that dis-honest. But any chance they get, they'll **** ya in the ***.

education is priceless... if it costs you $2500 to learn to use your brain then its worth it. If somehow you could learn the lesson w/o losing your money...

its kind of a no brainer. Who da hell would sell an almost brand new bike thats worth way more for like 2500-3000$ shipped....i mean c'mon man. I've seen many of those on ebay and just feel sorry for people that are actually stupid enough to fall for that ****.

They want a Western union deposit first, then they will use the escrow service

You guys are so right, the amount of scams on ebay is rediculous. One time i found an 02 R1 w/ 200 miles and titanium pipe (with a picture)w/ a "buy it now" of $3200. A few minutes later, i found the same exact bike under a different item# w/ a buy it now of $2900. Needless to say, i didnt end up emailing that seller. Does ebay have a contact u can email and tell them about scams u see while browsin the site?

Why would you do that. Bikes are cheaper in the US and type specific. You would need to change lenses, maybe emmission related stuff on top of the fact that the $$ is sitting at its lowest in years?

Weird

those are scams. they are all over the online recycler classifieds here in socal. half the numbers were even disconnected or fake so I couldn't even bs with the sellers.
