obd1 conversion not working
the conversion isnt working. i got a harness, and obd1 distributor repinned for obd0. 4-wire O2 sensor is hooked up. im getting spark at the plugs. but the injectors arent pulsing. there is power to the injectors, but the ecu isnt grounding the injectors. having the same problem on 2 different cars. please help. i tried searching already, but no useful threads.
Can you just ground the injectors to chassis ground and make sure the car starts up? Then do a real troubleshoot and trace that injector ground to the ECU to see what's up.
ok i had the same damn problem....i followed all the instructions to the T but i forgot to hook up the yellow/black wires that are in the dpfi harness to the plug that grounds the injectors out that plug replaces the resistor box in obd-0 cars but those yellow/black wires come off of the dpfi injectors and you have and must hook thos wires up to that plug.....hope that helps
Make sure your distributor is wired properly. Some of the OBD conversion adapters are set up for color to color on the distributor wires, and some of them are set up for sensor to sensor. Honda changed the wire colors from pre-OBD to OBD1 and OBD2.
