Default Which CAT will BOLT UP between a JDM 4-1 header and cat-back exhaust?

Trying to help a guy out and I can't find anything searching other than "carsound" or "PM dave" or "take it to a mufler shop"

he's got a jdm 4-1 header (2.5" collector for those of you unaware) and a tanabe cat-back exhaust on his '01 GSR... what "bolt-in" cat will fir his application?

TIA

Not going to help you any further, but Carsound does make a cat that will fit.

they carry the carsounds, yes, but i see nothing that is 2.5" -> 2.25"
everything increases in size... unless you could install it the opposite direction, but i didn't think you could do that.

2.5->2.5 will be fine, it will go into the smaller catback -yes it slows performance probably but thats fine, because you are still going into small diameter piping anyways

Many people who want a bolt-on cat for their JDM headers turn to Dave at SMSP (where mine came from - unbeatable service, and he welds the heatshields to prevent rattles) or Mike at IPS Racing (also great service). Carsound doesn't make bolt-on cats for these applications, so any bolt-on that you buy will be one that was welded by a shop.

So either Dave or Mike can make a bolt-on cat that will fit w/o modifications, correct?
