Default best tranny for a B16A?

The tranny on my B16A just crapped out on me, and I was just wondering if I should just get a B16A w/ LSD tranny or if another one is better, so any input would be great, thanks.

Best tranny is the ITR tranny. shortest gears. but can get annoying from time to time on highways

nope the ITR has shorter gearing.
What is the car mainly used for?
I would just stick with another b16 tranny...

try to get one with an LSD. you'll love it. i know i love my gsr w/quaife. especially during the winter time...my car's a little snow plow, plowing through 10+ inches of snow while other cars get stuck.

Yes and no. The ITR has the same gearing, but with a taller final drive (numerically, so the gears are shorter). For a street car, a shorter tranny than a B16 tranny is going to leave you revved very high at 60-80 mph. I would probobally just get another B16 tranny also.

depends where you look. there's alot of info out there, but its hard to tell what's exactly right

http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/bseries.html

b16a tranny has a tad bit shorter 1st, 4th and 5th, but the 98+ itr has the super low 4.785fd

I had a very nice b16a back in the day. Made 175whp I had a usdm type R Tranny with a 4.78 final. It was great but I'm sure a 4.9 would be even better.
