If you buying just a MC, I would buy one new or remanufactured. It's not worth trying to save a little bit by buying used, and getting a possibly bad unit.
If you need a MC and Booster, I'd definitely buy used. The two as a set seem to sell for not much more than just a MC -- and you definitely don't want to have to buy a Booster new.

That said, if you're looking for a used MC, I have one that I'll sell for $60. It's in good working condition now, but I don't know how much use it has on it.
