I need confirmation if these wires are right. I need to cut the stock harness to hook up my new 6 1/2" speakers.

92 Accord

Driver Side Rear
Grey w/ White Stripe +
Blue w/ Yellow Stripe -

Passenger Side Rear
Brown w/ White Stripe +
Red w/ Yellow Stripe -

 

to find the right pair for each speaker use a AA battery, put a wire on each end and u will hear scratching, than u know u got the right pair

Find the right pair? There are only 2 wires, so thats a pair.

I just want to know which wires are + and - for front and rear speakers. I'm not using a battery in any way to find out. I always do something little and stupid to my car that messes up something else. I'd rather go without music until I found the 110% guarantee on wire colors -to- + and -.

When looking at the back of a speaker, isn't the positive (+) always on the right side and negative (-) on the left?

 

on a honda, reds and blue are the +'s, the other color will be your neg.

Back to the battery bump method mentionw above, when the speaker pops "out" the battery is in correct polarity with the speaker ( meaning the + on the battery ios connected to the + of the speaker).

 

he is correct.. all blue and red are positive.. all grey and brown are negative
