Default How to tune your fuel?

I have a very braod question. I have no idea how to tune my fuel/air for my car. I think I am going to get a vafc but really don't know anything about it. I need this knowledge because I am going to have to change my vTEC and my fuel/air because of the camshafts yadda yadda. So does anyone know how to tune?

i would highly recommend the base Hondata system for tuning, both for fuel economy and to make the most power overall. very nice features, can change the fuel and ignition values, the redline/fuel cut rpm, the VTEC switchover point to name a few major ones. IMO it's much better than the various piggyback style controls available.

I'm not sure hondata makes a unit for the b16a jdm motor. they advertise '92 and up. Otherwise I would probably go hondata. you're right.

you can interchange ECU's and use different wiring harnesses (OBD2 to OBD1 etc.) in order to use the Hondata system. for instance i am using a 1st Gen. JDM B16A block, 94 USDM GSR head and engine harness, 94 USDM LS dist., and a 92-95 P28 ECU (Civic EX/SI) socketed for Hondata. this is in an OBD1 chassis. works fine, no problems with connections etc.

you should have no problems getting your JDM B16A to work with a Hondata socketed OBD1 P28, P72 or even P75/P06 (some can be used for VTEC) ECU.
