Default B18B whit ctr piston

Hello, i'm new in this forum. I'm from canada and I speak french, so sorry for my english .

I want to know if ctr piston clear in a b18b block. I know that they fit in the engine, but I don't know if it's safe.

yes they clear with no problems . also make sure you use the b18b rods

Some people told me to don't put ctr piston on my engine. Other problem with ctr piston?

In order to fit the ctr pistons onto the ls rods, you need to either shave down the rods or enlarge the pistons bosses. Other than that, it should be fine, you'll love the low end torque.

The rods will not fit inside the pistons. You have to narrow the small end of the rods, or enlarge the pistons where the rods go.

Yeah, its actually about ~1mm on each side of the small end of the rod to make it fit.

no, no one which way is safer, but the only way to make it work is the method stated above.

running that setup in my car right now with a gsr head and 2 layer head gasket
runns fine but you probably will need to run a higer octane or get some 320cc injectors and get it tuned

I see, it is the outside of the rod, I was worried about hte size of the "wristpins" being different, thanks.

Hows the fitment is i was to use aftermarket rods? say like crower or eagles? Shaving 2mm off the rod sounds scary
