Short Shift kit install
Does anyone know where I can find instructions for installing a short shift kit on a 92 honda prelude? I just got a used DC one and it has no instructions.

If I remember correctly, the short shifter design is the same as the Accord short shifter... it's really easy... just unscrew the shift know, take off the center console cover and slide it off to the side and the shifter boot off of the shifter. Then take the appropriate sized socket, and unbolt the linkage from the shifter, and place the short shifter adapter in place, and attach the shift linkage accordingly... I wish I could describe it better, but the design of the short shifter adapter kinda guides you along the way... I think it took me 10 or 15 minutes...
That sounds about right to me. I put one on my '95 and it went pretty much like that. After you remove the linkage from the middle of the shift lever the adapter will bolt on in it's place. The linkage will then bolt onto the adapter, thus raising the point at which the linkage hooks to the lever, shortening the throw a bit. If you need more detail let me know.
