Default Hytech exhaust on a stock R, whats your thoughts?

Plain and simple,
putting a Hytech exhaust on a stock R that has adj cam gears and vafc,

Is it worth it if the complete exhaust was reasonably priced?

I saw the site.. and they claim 20 hp and 22tq with What I want to do.
But I would like to see real people with real results, Is there anyone here with a setup like I might do?

Thanks.

I want plain and simple, Not much more sound and a few more hp.

But seeing how my stock Cat smells and rattles now there is nothing I can do except replace it, (screw the dealer/ not even going to ask about warranty) So I have been wanting to do the exhaust from day one and after seeing Christains exhaust and hearing it I fell in love.

like I said adj cam gears and vafc (and tuning) thats about it with the current mods will be more then enough for me.

I think it was worth it. I would buy the same exhaust system again.
I had it dynoed some time ago. Results here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=608965

With the full system I remember seeing dyno charts around here that showed around 190whp+ on stock cams, fully tuned of course. It seems to be one of the ultimate header/cat/exhaust systems you can buy, but also commands the high price tag.

Buy it.

My car is much more fun with the Fujitsubo than without. Dyno showed about 7-8whp 3-4wtq more. It just felt 'more alive'. Can't go wrong with that exhaust... and doesn't that one have the integrated cat? If so, even better.

I think that you can do a few searches through the archives and find my opinions based off of the dyno testing threads that I started

Yes, very much. Especially the midrange power is really improved as you can see from the dyno, and its a delight to drive. It was much more peaky, on/off switch like before.

But of course, I can't stop modding it, so soon RS Machines cams are going to be added

That's the new trend by the new members, part of the reason i bag on them so hard.

It used to be - consideration, deals, dibs, bending over backwards for the sake of the R community.

Now the new peoples are mostly all about themselves and the best deal and dont get the whole loyalty/community thing.

Call me elitist, i dont give a crap. I liked it better the old way.

Well I have yet to get mine on the dyno but the butt dyno helps reassure my purchase. I picked up one of the first prototype systems for an amazing price from somone local and I've loved it. I second guessed myself at first becuase of the price tag, which was nothing at all to complain about in my instance, and I had a tough tiome with the instyall etc, and some things going wrong. I cann't bring myself to get rid of this thing now for th elife of me. My only other mods were an intake and a vafc. I don't plan to do much more as I plan to keep the car close to stock. I would have said go for it, but I see he has already sold it. I wanted dibs on the cat if he had parted it out.

I'll hopefully have mine on the dyno sometime this spring

i don't think its worth the money even if you had a header.. and if you must get on, get a custom exhaust for 1/2 $$$. ...wheres that dyno of nitrous itr with stock exhaust pushing 250whp.

Maybe Bbasso didn't know that? I have no idea what was said between you two, but if he didn't know of your mother's situation, his opinion is a reasonable one.
