Default Exhaust query for JDM Teg

I am going to eventually be getting a cat-back system for my JDM Si Integra when i have the money together. In the meantime i was looking to just get a muffler to keep me happy. There are N1 style mufflers going on ebay for around $30 and i was wondering what do you guys think of these. I know i will need to get a piece welded to the muffler to fit to the B-pipe.

I was also thinking of getting a Skunk2 muffler which is much dearer. The question i have about this is does the Skunk2 or any other US mufflers come with the piece of piping attached so i can just bolt up to the B-pipe and save me having to get the piece welded.

Thanks !

i think all of the aftermarket mufflers are at least 2.25 or 2.36 inch diameters. Id just wait till you peice together your system before you purchase your muffler, plus a muffler on stock piping will probably sound like shat.
Most companies make axle-back systems if thats what your looking for.

I have never heard of a JDM Si integra....what is that? What motor? Where did u get it from?

$30 muffler = no. just wait. u might spend more money if u do it that way. If you guy a muflfler for your integra it should be a bolt on thing no welding needed IIRC

Si Integra is basically same as what you guys call a GSR. Its imported from Japan and has the B18C1 1.8 VTEC engine. Si Integra = Pure JDM

Think i'll just leave the exhaust then until i have the money for at least the cat-back. Looking at maybe Spoon, Tanabe or HKS.

Integra SI = USDM Integra GSR with B18C1. If there is a number next to C it means it is overseas integra. JDM doesn't use number at the end.

Si is not the correct tag if it has a B18C motor. It's an SiVTEC and I have owned 3. Save your money and get a complete exhaust.
