Default HPDE in the rain

I'm going to be doing HPDE this weekend at Infineon and if the rain keeps up it'll probably rain this weekend. Wanted to know how does the event go when it's raining especially in group 1. do we have to take it slow around the track and learn how to control the car when it's a "wet race" or will they let us push it a little? any more info would be great... thanks

It will be the same in the beginner group. You will be taking it slow and learning to control the car, regardless of conditions. The main difference is that your car will get wet inside because your windows will be down.

PS- it's not a "race" ... forget about lap times, and who you're faster than, and who's faster than you ... please just be careful and learn and have fun

Good luck,

Jon

yep, running Sebring in the wet/drizzle was a blast! I'm still kinda glad that it dried out later in the day though
