Default Anyone make their own prjoection headlights or what kind did you buy?

So I was looking into making my HID's a little more useful for not only me but the other drivers on the road. I was looking at some projection headlights, and I have heard most of them are ***, my question is, anyone DIY it and buy some audi or bmw projector assemblies and put them in your accord (looking for especially 4th gens). Or if you have purchased some aftermarket projection headlamps, how is the beam pattern (spread, cutoff line, glare, etc.) Also I would like to retain my 9006 HID kit, and most of the aftermarket lenses need h3 (worse of a bulb). Any suggestions, write ups, links?? Thanks again my trusty H-T'ers

Well I personally dont like the retrofitting of the Audi bulb into the Accord factory cuz i think its look Cheesy or RICEY but ive seen other alternatives. Ive seen some guy buy the already made projector housings off ebay and put in a real projector, like replacing it with the Audi one or a different one. It looks a lot cleaner IMO then the single projector put into a area of blankness inside the accord factory housing. All the projectors ive seen come in the H3 sizes except for maybe the Teg's, not sure about those. I saw this guys converion on another site, dont remember it off hand but he had a Cardomain site too. It was for his 6th gen. Dunno if this helps any.

Im guessin your against the ebay projector looks cuz ur car is pretty much stock looking cosmetics wise. Imma get the 9006 kit for my Accord soon but got no plans for the projector. Is the output bad?

The output is great, I love it, but I know it could be a hell of a lot better w/projectors. I guess I could scope out the junkyards and get a "extra" set of oem headlights, and get some teg projectors to fit...I Love DIY. I don't really mind the aftermarket headlights, some look ok, but others look like a bowl of uncle bens, I guess I could just leave it and aim my HID's down a little bit. Here is a pic of my light output:

I have the ebay, one piece black housing, projectors, and they look good, BUT the lighting SUCKS! AND they do not adjust at all! I think I'm going to do some type of conversion.

See I guess I would spend my money on something that looks good and is functional. I know those ebay specials look good but they require modification of the bulb (getting an H3 bulb which is what most FOGLIGHTS use.... ) I looked at HIDforum.com and found a couple links but there is no xenon or bi xenon available for the 4th gen does anyone know of a way to improve the lighting and reducing glare ie eyebrows, a custom shield etc. Thanks so far with the help. I guess if it doesn't get resolved I am just gonna have to continue to blind people

ahh so is that the only way to make full use of your HID's cuz i have angel eyes on my 6th gen. and mann the projector lens doesnt let the light out, its dim and not as bright. how much will it cost to get different projectors and if thats pricey is there anything else i can do. . .

Back in the day before their was mass quantities of already made projectors, I use to see people put Catz and Piaa foglights into their headlights. They "retrofitted" them in. You could try to buy some HID fogs and put them in there. I think it would be a easier job.

Front bumper and then everything should just be bolt on.

hey, what if you took apart the headlight. Do the whole oven-bake thing, pull the lense apart. Take the bulb housing and lay a chili dog in there. See how that looks at night.
