install a ls-vtec and rev limiter is lower. what the hell?

Default install a ls-vtec and rev limiter is lower. what the hell?

90 crx si
had a gsr in it vechile rev limit was 8100
install ls-vtec and it now rev limits at 7000

anyone had this problem before?
i can t see anything that could ve change the rev limit point.

you arn't for some odd reason running an ls ecu are you? had a buddy that did that and pushed a botton for vtec.

hey bro

i am having the same problem???

hopefully u can get some help cuz i am about to get tuned and still hitting only 7000

i have a pr3 chipped ecu
been checked with another car and ecu ain't the problem

i am starting to hate my car....

arghhh
why with previous motr had redline at 9000 now redlining or something sooner

no way

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

becuz if your cams cant make power that high..then your engine cant spin that high..

I had this problem on a d15 with the Si ecu..it would only physically spin to 5500, becuz the stock cam couldnt make power.

pr3 ecu
stock not chip or anything
have a vafc to it.

the thing is when the gsr was in it
the car redline at 8100

nothing else has change except 4 the motor(ls-vtec)
(ls-vtec motor came from a 99si)
and the ls-vtec motor redline at 8100 while in the 99si with obd2-1 harness and a p72 ecu
