Sno-Drift Rally Review (Big Pics)
Just thought I would pop in here to make an update for anyone who is interested in some Honda Rallying...
We just got back from the Sno-Drift Pro Rally in Atlanta Michigan. On the friday event we ended up finishing 3rd in our class. We were actually pretty suprised at service after checking the scores, and seeing how high up we were.
I had a new co-driver, who had never been to a rally before, and, we just got the car running about a week before the event
So we were pretty stoked to take home a trophy...
On the saturday event, we were again running very well, consistently in 3-4th place in our class...
Unfortunately we ended up having a small off on a large downhill over crest.. It was so icy, we couldn't stand on the road to put out the triangles!
I only hit the snowbank at about 4-5mph, but we were stuck for a good 10-15 minutes until a group of snow-mobilers helped us out.
The rest of the day we pushed hard, and made up alot of time to eventually finish 5th in class on the saturday event...
Overall, great weekend! Rally New York is next!
Cliff notes: 3rd place on friday, 5th a saturday, bumped a snowbank, had lots of fun.
Thanks to Cobalt Friction and Demon Tweeks!
Check my website for a more detailed summary soon!

congrats man. looking good out there. where can i get a set of those big ars spot lights like you have. i wanna run those on the streets. and look mean.
Tires: Nokian Hakka Q's... Absolutely excellent on ice and snow...
The lights are KC HiLights.. You can get them from p-sport.com... Running them on the street would literally blind other people. They turn night into day.

Nice work, that looks like a blast!
Also big props to the Mendhams in a white Legacy Turbo (PGT #66, 14th overall / 3rd in class.) The car is owned/sponsored by a local place ( http://www.deltavmotorsports.com ) and I've drooled on it several times
Thanks,
Jon

I remember the ice last year.(I'm just a poor spectator..)..
the corner we were on, there was just no traction, just a long slope of ice.
Funny, the best powerslide of the weekend was the two old ladies driving a big ford expedition doing the medical sweep after the racers were past.
