Default offset Q: DC5R wheels vs. replicas

are the replicas available in an offset more suiting to the Type S or are they an exact copy of the DC5R wheels meaning I need Type R suspension?

I didn't know there was a wheel company that makes an ITR 17" replica...Who is it? I might be interested.

Rota Subzero is the replica of JDM DC5-R wheels

the Rota subzero looks similar , but not even close to a replica.

the ADR Syntax is a replica, it looks exactly the same...I believe it was discontinued by ADR but you can still buy them from numerous places.

here is the ADR...(swap center caps with the Type of course)

Yes there are Replica's of the DC5-R wheels,..they are not SubZero's though,..those IMO look nothing like them! But check out http://www.tires.com and look for the Nakayama
"RSX-5" is the name of them! Look pretty damn close!

I'm sure they are nothing near the weight of the DC5-R wheels though!

I saw those a long time ago

Actually... its not even close, A Ferrari costs a few HUNDRED thousand more than a Civic. My Type S only costs a few thousand less than a Type R.

Also, even if I did...I'd still be one step closer to a Ferrari than you...because you actually drive a Civic.

Give me the thumbs down? that was weak.

The RSX 5 is the copy of the Work Emotions and not the copy of the DC5R wheels. The SubZeros is the copy of the Racing Hart CP035. They are all split 5 spokes but the only copy is the ADR Syntax

Just save the cash and get the real jdm's. You do not need the DC5R suspension to run them only a spacer and longer wheel studs for the rear and you are set. How do I know this? I have the real JDM's, trust me when compare to the fakes you will notice the difference. Good luck.

I think its important that you know that you are barking up the wrong tree, I'm an NHRA licensed driver 3809 (SP/SG), my RSX is simply a daily driver.... my other car is a truck....and it runs 9.90s at 140+...NA....(WITH throttle stop) ponder on that for a while.
I'm not going to waste my time with someone who probably doesnt even know what an Index is or the reason why a pefect reaction time is .500.

I really care if your Civic will "smoke" my rsx anyday...that was a classic Ricer response...im sure everyone would agree. but just out of curiousity, what does this Civic run? I hardly think I will be impressed.

and if I wanted a Type R...I'd go a less than a mile to "97SpecR"s house and drive his....but I wouldnt want some ignorant EP3 owner to call me a "***" ...and for that I give you

i disagree, because you can get them for about $1,000 new with no tires. in the end they're bout the same as any other cast 19lb 17" wheels, not like they're godly or anything

nah dont worry bout him man, the DC5Rs here in japan costs about 2,350,000yen (bout $22,200usd), which is less than the retail price of a Type S in america.

yeah i know, 19lb is overweight. they are casted rims with a honda stamp on it, plus it's JDM, I guess that makes a world of difference for some people.
